The Polish Lambo
It looks like a Lambo, drives like a Ferrari and costs less than an Aston Martin… is it time to take Polish supercars seriously?
No matter how much petrol you sniff or how long you spend trawling car websites for the latest news nuggets, you probably haven’t heard of Arrinera Automotive. Don’t feel ashamed fellow motoring bods, because this obscure Polish outfit hasn’t created anything notable… until now.
This sub £100k supercar features a 6.2 litre engine that kicks out a Ferrari-baiting 641bhp- so you can expect to hit 60mph in just under 3.2 seconds. British supercar legend Lee Noble (responsible for the Noble M400 among others) has been roped in to help with suspension and ride so this isn’t simply a cheap Lamborghini Aventador replica, Arrinera Automotive are serious about their supercar. The abundance of carbon fiber help to keep weight down to 1300kg and the interior will feature a state-of-the-art navigation system, reverse parking camera and even the option to have night-vision fitted (we don’t know why either but is sounds cool).
So should we take Polish supercars seriously? Not really. It takes years to develop a brand and years of getting things very wrong before things go very right so we’re not placing too many bets on Arrinera Automotive winning any WhatCar? Awards any time soon.
